How to Make Lentil Soup Using Danta Blender
1 cup yellow lentils
4 cups water
1 medium onion, chopped
1 medium carrot, diced
1 tomato, chopped
2 garlic cloves
1 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp turmeric (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
2 tbsp oil or butter
Instructions:
Prepare the Ingredients:
Rinse the lentils thoroughly until the water runs clear.
Prepare the vegetables (onion, carrot, tomato, and garlic).
Initial Cooking:
Heat the oil or butter in a pot and sauté the onion and garlic until soft.
Add the carrot and tomato and stir for a few minutes.
Add Lentils and Spices:
Add the rinsed lentils to the pot along with cumin and turmeric. Stir for a minute.
Pour in the water and cover the pot. Let it boil, then lower the heat and simmer for 20-25 minutes until the lentils and vegetables are cooked.
Blending:
Allow the soup to cool slightly, then transfer it to a blender. Blend until smooth.
Return the soup to the pot and season with salt and pepper to taste.
Serving:
Reheat the soup if needed, then serve it in bowls.
Add a squeeze of lemon juice and a sprinkle of cumin on top for extra flavor.
